Many tattoo artists choose to supplement their income by selling their original tattoo flash art. To let potential customers know you have flash for sale, however, you must display it properly. Whether you sell your custom tattoo flash art as individual pieces or put several pieces together on one sheet and sell them as a set may help you determine what type of display works best.
Instructions
1. Purchase display racks as self-standing units, larger wall-mounted units or even small tabletop units that are completely portable. The number of flash sheets you want to display will determine the size required. A sheet of clear plastic in the front and insert boards behind each piece of artwork protect it from damage, and many units come with separate pricing or description card pockets as well.
2. Laminate each sheet as a cheaper alternative to display cases. One drawback is if you're not selling multiple copies of the same print, you'll continuously need to laminate your new artwork. Plus not all your customers may want the sheets laminated.
3. Use individual poster frames or extra large picture frames. Although this can be pricier than laminating, you can easily remove one print from the frame to replace it with a new one. In addition, you take away the possibility a customer won't buy your tattoo flash art because it's been laminated.
4. Put the flash art pages in plastic protective sheet covers inside a portable book. The downside is more chance of damage to the artwork during transit or by a careless browser who spills something on a page or removes a sheet while you're not paying attention.
5. Create a Web site to sell tattoo flash art to people farther away than your hometown. Use rolling screens, small thumbnails you can't enlarge or other distortion techniques to deter theft.
