Located in the historic Elizabeth neighborhood of Charlotte, Cajun Queen is housed in a renovated family home that was built in 1918. Brunch includes a variety of eggs Benedict dishes, omelets and shrimp and grits. Appetizers for lunch and dinner include crawfish scampi, fried green tomatoes and Cajun fried oysters. Entrees include your choice of chicken, shrimp or crawfish prepared as an etouffee, Creole or Diane. Shrimp, steaks, catfish and blackened chicken are also entrees. Some side dishes are red beans and rice, garlic mashed potatoes and grits. New Orleans inspired mixed drinks, beer and coffee are available. Gifts include Cajun Queen T-shirts, hurricane glass, hot sauce and dry spice mixes. Cajun Queen offers services for catering and private parties. Cajun Queen is open for brunch on Sunday and dinner seven nights a week with live jazz music every night.

Boudreaux's Louisiana Kitchen
Boudreaux's Louisiana Kitchen is located in the historic NoDa arts district of Charlotte. Every month, Boudreaux's participates in the NoDa Gallery Crawl; original art is showcased in several different area venues. The menu is authentic New Orleans and will make you feel like you're dining on Bourbon Street. The brunch menu includes beignets, Cajun chicken omelets and eggs Benedict. For dinner, start your meal with an authentic Cajun gumbo, soup or appetizer like fried gator bites. Salads, sandwiches and main entrees are available including a crab cake croissant, jambalaya, bourbon pork chops and low country shrimp and grits. Beer varieties are served from the bayou and from around the world.

Cajun Yard Dog
Located in the Arboretum Shopping Center, Cajun Yard Dog serves lunch and dinner; the menu is filled with real Cajun flavor. Starters include jalapeno deviled eggs and catfish bites with jalapeno tartar sauce. Soups and salads are available and include chicken and andouile gumbo and a Cajun cobb salad. There are six different po'boy sandwich varieties to choose from, entrees and seafood platters. Shrimp or crawfish Creole, red beans and rice, chicken jambalaya, fried chicken, etouffee, fried shrimp and blackened salmon are some of the dishes on the menu. Choose a side from a list of Cajun-inspired vegetables like collards, creamy grits and potato salad. There is live music every Friday and Saturday night. Beer and wine are available including Dixie Blackened Voodoo beer from New Orleans.
