Create An Undisclosed Recipient List In Email

Create an Undisclosed Recipient List in Email

When an individual has given you his email address, it is very likely that he trusts you to protect his address from the eyes of others. If you want to send him, along with other friends or clients, a bulk email message, you can create an "Undisclosed Recipient" list. This will allow you to send one email to many individuals while keeping the email addresses private from the receivers.

Instructions

1. Open your email program. Select the option to "Create" or "Compose" a new email message. Exact wording may vary.

2. Type the email addresses for your recipients in the "BCC" (Blind Carbon Copy) field.

3. Enter a "Subject" for your message.

4. Type your actual email message inside of the "Body" section.

5. Click "Send" to send your message to the undisclosed recipients.

If your message does not send successfully, it is because some email providers require you to enter an email address in the "To" field. If that is the case, simply type "Undisclosed Recipients" in the "To" field, followed by your bracketed email address. Example, Undisclosed Recipients .
